While not wood-fired, these flower motif shaped gaiwans really stand out in several ways. Their craftsmanship is refined, the feeling the rigid petals of the rim give to the hand, and the saucer upon which the gaiwan sits, everything lends itself to compliment the flower motif. The beauty of the cracked glaze is best found in the vibrant blues and greens produced near the base of the gaiwan and on the knob of the lid.
